Countdown For Cannabis Clemency | Natural Harvest + LPP
Natural Harvest and local Minnesota cannabis enthusiasts demand clemency.
Less than 150 days in the #Countdown4Clemency for @POTUS to release cannabis prisoners!
Tell President Biden to keep his promise that “no one should be in jail for marijuana” by sending a letter to www.cannabisclemency.org! #CannabisClemency
Why act now?
President Biden has only granted 1.6% of all clemency petitions submitted during his presidency… the worst in modern presidential history. Time is running out to right history and release those incarcerated for cannabis!
Where to take action
President Biden has pardoned thousands of people for simple cannabis possession. This represents progress, but not true justice. There are still 3,000 people in federal prison for cannabis offenses that need to be freed. With less than 150 days before President Biden leaves office, he is running out of time to right history and grant cannabis clemency.
Here are some facts to help ramp up pressure during President Biden’s lame-duck:
- Not a single person has been released as a result of his pardon actions.
- President Biden has only granted 1.6% of all clemency petitions submitted during his presidency, the worst in modern presidential history.
- 84% of American voters support the release of those who are incarcerated for crimes that have since been legalized
- President Biden needs to keep his promise that “no one should be in jail for marijuana” and right the history of his legacy before he leaves office.
